TalkBeam for Film & TV production

Push-to-talk for production crews, on set and across town

TalkBeam is a push-to-talk walkie-talkie app that gives production, camera, grip and electric, locations and transport their own channels over cellular data, so a company move across town doesn’t leave anyone out of range, with a searchable log of every call.

CH 06FAQ

Film & TV production: questions, answered

Can TalkBeam replace set walkies?

For many productions, yes, especially shows that move between locations. It depends on cellular or Wi-Fi coverage, so check stages and remote locations during prep, and keep a few radios for spots with no signal.

Will it make noise during takes?

Crew hear the channel in an earpiece. Set phones to silent and use earpieces on set, just as you would with radios.

Can day players join for a day?

Yes. Share your company code, add them to their department’s channel, and remove them from the console when they wrap.

Can we set up department channels like on radios?

Yes. Create channels for production, camera, grip and electric, locations, transport or anything else, and use an all-call to reach everyone.

Does it work at a basecamp miles from set?

Yes, wherever phones have cellular data or Wi-Fi.

What does it cost for a short shoot?

Teams is $8 per person per month when you pay monthly, or $6 billed yearly, for 5 to 50 people, and every plan starts with a 14-day free trial.
