TalkBeam for Events & venues

Push-to-talk for event staff, from load-in to last call

TalkBeam is a push-to-talk walkie-talkie app that gives every event team its own channel (security, gates, medical, production and volunteers) with a live staff map, supervisor all-call, SOS and a searchable log of every call.

CH 01The problem

Where event radios run out

Renting radios for every event, handing them out, collecting them and paying for the ones that don’t come back.

  1. Rent, hand out, chase down

Radio rentals, sign-out sheets and the missing-radio bill after every event.

    With TalkBeam

Staff use their own phones and join with a company code. Remove them from the console when the event ends.

    • Any headset, glasses or CarPlay

  2. Too many teams, too few channels

Security, gates, medical and production fight over a handful of channels.

    With TalkBeam

Unlimited channels, one per team, with supervisors on all of them and an all-call for everyone.

    • Unlimited company channels
    • Priority talk & all-call
  3. Where is my team?

Supervisors call around to find the staffer closest to an incident.

    With TalkBeam

The live map shows staff who are sharing their location, and who’s talking.

    • Live team map
  4. Weather decisions at outdoor events

A thunderstorm or high winds need to reach every team at the same moment.

    With TalkBeam

Automated broadcasts read thunderstorm and severe weather warnings aloud, and an all-call carries your instructions.

    • Priority talk & all-call
  5. Incidents need a record

After an incident, you need to know who said what, and when.

    With TalkBeam

Every transmission becomes searchable text. Enterprise adds retention and CSV export for incident files.

  6. Volunteers who’ve never used a radio

Radio etiquette takes training you don’t have time for on show day.

    With TalkBeam

It’s an app on their own phone: hold to talk, or tap an earbud in Hybrid mode.

CH 02A day on TalkBeam

Festival afternoon, a storm on the way

A two-day outdoor festival runs security, gates, medical, production and volunteer channels on TalkBeam Enterprise.

The next morning the operations lead exports the transcript for the incident log and the post-event review.

Illustrative scenario. People, places and times are made up; the features are real.

CH 03What you get

What event staff get on TalkBeam

Everything a two-way radio does, on the phone, headset or vehicle your people already have, plus the things a radio never could.

  • Unlimited company channels

A channel per crew, site, shift or job, and the people who need each one. Supervisors can sit on all of them.

  • Priority talk & all-call

Supervisors cut through the chatter mid-sentence, or reach every channel at once with one hold.

  • Live team map

See everyone who’s sharing their location on one map, and who’s talking right now.

  • Automated safety broadcasts Enterprise

Severe weather warnings, thunderstorms, earthquakes, air quality and extreme heat near your sites or crews, read aloud on your channels automatically.

  • SOS with location

Hold SOS and the channels you choose get an alert with your location. Teammates tap On my way.

  • Searchable transcripts

Every transmission becomes text with a time and a name, so anyone can scroll back or search what was said.

  • Retention & exports Enterprise

Choose how long transcripts are kept, and export them as CSV for QA, incident reviews or claims.

  • Company console

Add people, set roles and build channels from a browser. Share one company code and your crew is in.

Features marked Enterprise are part of the Enterprise plan. TalkBeam isn’t an emergency service and doesn’t contact 911.

Watch a crew run on TalkBeam

In our 2½-minute demo, a fictional ambulance company dispatches with an all-call, reroutes a crew over private direct talk, hears a flood warning read aloud in every unit and reviews it all in the transcripts. Every feature in it is real.

Or try the demo company yourself. In the TalkBeam app, open Me → Company and enter this code:

CH 06FAQ

Events & venues: questions, answered

Can TalkBeam replace rented event radios?

Often, yes. One caution: big crowds can congest cellular networks, so put staff on venue Wi-Fi where you can, and test TalkBeam at a busy event before you drop radios entirely.

Can temporary staff and volunteers join for one event?

Yes. Share your company code, put people on their team’s channel, and remove them from the console when the event is over.

How do weather alerts work?

On Enterprise, add your venue as a site in the console and choose what to watch, such as National Weather Service warnings, thunderstorms and heat. TalkBeam reads the alert aloud on your channels and can announce the all clear. Thunderstorm alerts come from forecasts, not a lightning detector.

Can supervisors see where staff are?

Yes, for staff sharing their location on a company channel. Sharing is per channel, and staff can see when it’s on.

Does SOS call 911?

No. SOS alerts the channels you choose with the staffer’s location. For emergencies, call 911 and follow your event’s emergency plan.

What does it cost?

Teams is $8 per person per month, or $6 billed yearly, for 5 to 50 people. Enterprise is $15 per person per month billed yearly from 25 people, $13 from 100.
