For many private and interfacility services, yes: crews, supervisors and dispatch get push-to-talk channels anywhere there’s cellular data or Wi-Fi, plus a crew map and transcripts. If your county dispatches you on a P25 or other public-safety radio system for 911 calls, keep that radio for county dispatch and use TalkBeam for everything around it: company operations, transfers, supervisors and QA.
Yes. Crews can talk through CarPlay on the vehicle’s screen, a Bluetooth or wired headset, AirPods, Apple Watch or the phone speaker, and TalkBeam keeps working with the phone locked.
TalkBeam isn’t certified for patient health information, so set a simple rule: use unit numbers and plain operational language on channels, and keep patient details in your ePCR and other approved systems.
