CH 01Your 14 days
A trial works best when you run real shifts on it. Here’s the plan we suggest; the radio replacement playbook has the longer version.
Day 1
Confirm your email and sign in to the company console. Name your channels (by crew, site or shift), add supervisors and copy your 8-character company code.
Days 1–2
People install TalkBeam and enter the code under Me → Company. They land in the channels you picked, with their names and roles.
Days 2–7
Use it for actual work next to your radios. Try the live map, an all-call, priority talk, a private direct talk and an SOS drill. Check coverage in your hardest spots.
Days 7–13
Add your sites to automated broadcasts, turn on crash and man-down detection and lone-worker check-ins for a few people, and search the transcripts from week one.
Day 14
Choose Teams or Enterprise to keep your channels, people and settings. There’s no card on file, so nothing is charged unless you choose a plan.
CH 02Why crews switch
TalkBeam runs over cellular data and Wi-Fi, so the crew across town is on the same channel as the one next door. No repeaters, no radio licenses.
People use the phone they already carry, with the earbuds or headset they like. No radio inventory at shift change.
Priority talk takes the channel mid-sentence; an all-call reaches every channel and every phone at once.
The live map shows everyone sharing their location and who’s talking. Sharing is per channel, and people see when it’s on.
SOS alerts the channels you choose with a location, and teammates tap On my way. (It doesn’t call 911.)
Transmissions become text with a time and a name, so shift handoffs, disputes and reviews take seconds.

Teams covers most crews of 5 to 50. Enterprise adds single sign-on, automated safety broadcasts, crash and man-down detection, lone-worker check-ins, an audit log and exports.
